I Critic's Choice Television Awards, arrivati alla quarta edizione, sono i riconoscimenti assegnati alle produzioni televisive dalla Broadcast Television Journalists Association, formata da più di cinquanta critici televisivi operanti nel mondo della carta stampata, del web, della radio e della stessa televisione. La cerimonia di questa quarta edizione si è tenuta l'altro ieri a Los Angeles presso il Beverly Hilton Hotel.
A trionfare quest'anno, con tre premi ciascuna, sono state l'adorabile
Fargo (FX) - miglior mini-serie, miglior attore protagonista in una mini-serie (
Billy Bob Thornton) e miglior attrice non protagonista in una mini-serie (
Allison Tolman) - e la (a me ancora sconosciuta) dark comedy
Orange is The New Black (Netflix). Segue a ruota quel gioiellino di
Breaking Bad (AMC), che si è aggiudicato due importanti riconoscimenti: miglior drama e miglior attore non protagonista in un drama ad
Aaron Paul, che lo ha strappato di mano, non senza rammarico da parte mia, anche a Peter Sarsgaard per
The Killing. Niente da fare invece per Bryan Cranston come miglior attore protagonista in un drama, che ha dovuto cedere il passo a

True Detective. Due i premi anche per la nuova
The Normal Heart (HBO), che vince come miglior film per la TV e grazie al miglior attore non protagonista in un film (o miniserie) assegnato a
Matt Bomer. La migliore attrice protagonista in un drama è la giovane
Tatiana Maslany per
Orphan Black, (che ha scalzato persino Robin Wright per
House of Cards), mentre la migliore attrice in una miniserie risulta essere l'ipnotica
Jessica Lange per
American Horror Story: Coven. A bocca asciutta, purtroppo, resta tutto ciò che abbia i draghi o che sia anche solo vagamente inglese.
